Introduction: Football is a popular game It is played all over the world. My favourite game is also football. I have witnessed a number of good football matches. But last year the Federation Cup Football final match played between Abahani Krira Chakra and Mohammedan Sporting Club was worth remembering.
Description: The match was held at Bangabandhu National Stadium. The stadium was jam-packed Thousands of football-loving people including Abahani and Mohammedan fams had poured in to witness this exciting match I bought a ticket from the couner after much struggle and entered the stadium long before the kick-off The whole western gallery was packed up with Abahani and Mohammedan supporters. There was a wild excitement in them. I was a little frightened. So I took my seat in the north-east corner of the stadium.
The match started at 3 p.m. I felt very excited. Both the teams were equally strong. Abahani took the offensive from the beginning. They were able to create some pressure on their opponents They made several beautiful movements and had few scoring chances. but black and white mohammiedan defenders foiled them skilfully.
In the second half the Mohammedans changed their strategy They went on the offensive. They attacked the Abahani’s goal mouth again and again. The Abahani boys also made a few counter attacks. But neither of the twams could score a goal. Five minutes before the long whistle Mohammedan unmarked striker, Habib, received a good pass from Kaiser Hamid He found Abahani goal-keeper all alone. He was about to score. But just at that moment a miracle happened. Munna, the Abahani defender, came from behind and cleared the ball. The match continued with attacks and counter-attacks for the next few minutes. Then the referee blew his whistle and the match ended in a goalless draw
Both the teams displayed a good brand of football. There was no dull moment in the entire match. So the spectators enjoyed it very much
Conclusion: I was not a supporter of either of the teams. Moreover the match was full of trill and excite ment. So I enjoyed the match with all my heart
