Introduction: Bangladesh is a country of birds. It is a good home for birds. Many Kinds of birds are found in Bangladesh. Even we don’t know the names of all birds. They are different in size, shape and colour There are migratory birds too. They come here in season time.
Its variety: There are many kinds of birds in Bangladesh. Some birds are very nice to look at but some are ugly, some are singing birds, some are pheasntand plundering birds. Some are game birds, some are popular birds.
Crow: The crow is a cunning bird. It steals odd things of our houses. Though it is an ugly bird yet it is useful to mankind. It eats dead animals and rotten things.
Cuckoo: The popular singing bird The cuckoo is perhaps, the most popular singing bird in our country It visits in the spring. Though it is black in colour like the crow but it is popular for its melodious songs. It is called the harbinger of spring.
Other singing birds: The doel, the bau-katha-kaw, and the shalik are the singing birds. They are beautiful and charm people with their sweet songs.
Talking Birds: The parrot. the mayna, the shama, and the chandana re the talking birds. They can talk like a man when they are properly trained.
Game birds or birds to eat: The dove, the snipe, the pigeon, the bittern, the heron,
the teal, the patridge, the goose, the swan and the chakha-chakhi are also common birds. We catch and kill them to eat their tasty flesh.
Plundering birds or the birds of prey: The kite, the hawk, the eagle are birds of pery
The vulture is also a bird of pey The king fisher and the crane are wild bird. They live near watery place to catch fish. But the kingfishe and the wood peeker are well known
for their beauty Some other common birds: There are some other common birds. The well-known to us for their weaving skill. The owl is also a cmmon bird. It is a fierce looking bird but t is harmless.
