Time of sowing and harvesting: Aush’ paddy is sown in Apritl. It grows quickly. It can be harvested in three months’ time. Aman’ seedlings are transplanted during the rainy season and can be reaped in forr months. ‘Boro’ seedlings are transplanted in autumn and winter It takes longer to grow It is harvested in April and May Now ‘IRRI” is sown in Bangladesh in plenty
Process of cultivation and how it is obtained: The farmers first plough and prepare their fields. They put fertilizers in the soil. Then seeds are sown or seedlings are transplanted. They aloso water and weed their fields properly When the paddy is ripe they cut it. Then they husk the paddy and get rice.
Uses: There are many uses of rice. We eat boiled rice, friedrice, Chira Khal, rice pudding, Polao etc. Many kinds of cakes are also made from rice
